Field of expertise: Alexey specializes on the MENA region, Russia's and US foreign policy in the region.
Work experience: Alexey is a political risk analyst and consultant with extensive research and consultancy experience. He is also a MENA expert at the Russian International Affairs Council and a strategic advisor to Doctors without borders OCB mission in Moscow. Alexey did numerous research stays in the region including in Syria, Israel and Egypt. Alexey was an Edmund Muskie fellow (2012-2014) at the University of Minnesota Hubert Humphrey School of Public Affairs. He was a research fellow at SAIS Johns Hopkins University, Central European University and the Moshe Dayan Center for Middle Eastern and African Studies of Tel Aviv University. In 2014-2016 he was the senior editor at analytical publication Russia Direct. In 2011-2012 Alexey worked for the office of the Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy in the Volga federal district and was a consultant to the State Duma in 2016-2017.
