Election of Donald Trump as president in 2016 led to considerable uncertainty in US politics, which is reflected in the international processes. None of the candidates of the pre-election race offered solutions to the structural problems of their country. Clinton and Trump themselves were their symptoms.
The presented report is intended to assess the main parameters of the psychological and professional competence of US President Donald Trump. The authors analyzed his communicative skills, organizational skills, the presence of a political vision, a style of thinking, the ability to political maneuver and emotional maturity.
The report also reconstructs Trump’s foreign policy platform on the basis of his pre-election proposals, a team of advisers and supporters. The report provides an analysis of US domestic political context and constraints faced by the new US president. Finally, the conclusions for Russia are outlined and the possible scenarios for the development of bilateral relations under Donald Trump are described.
